I've got a little secret...

ALL DIETS "WORK!"

Well, perhaps its not such a secret afterall.

The conflict among the so-called diet "experts" and the resulting confusion of dietary recommendations has left many people trying to lose weight at a loss over what to eat. Perhaps there is NO better time than the present to introduce you all to one of my pet peeves.

I HATE SO-CALLED "EXPERTS!"

Not because there's anything wrong with being well-read on a topic. But most often because the term is self-professed and oftentimes it is those very people who are likely most confused on the subject matter they suggest they know so well. For now, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and suggest it is probably because they are so "well-read" that knowing so much about the subject area has merely opened up many new doors and questions. I'll let each one of you formulate your own opinions.

I run a dietary consultation service and have for many years which honors individuality. In other words, dietary regimes I construct recognizes that each and every one of us harbors a different biochemistry as well as subsequently unique dietary requirements. The key is to honor individual physiological needs.

Have you got sick of trying to count carbs in order to manage your latest run with Atkins?

Have you floundered trying to put yourself in the so-called "Zone" established by Barry Sears?

Perhaps you couldn't take the vegetarian style of the Ornish setup?

Well, whatever the case, I am certain sharing your own experiences and the responses of your body may actually aide others who are in similar position. We can even learn from one another how individual body chemistries likely are similar in some instances while different in others and it starts with this very subforum.

So - lets light this forum up with all the plans you either got to work successfully or nearly died trying.

I agree with you, we all learn from each other. If i may share about own experience, here it is...work that keeps me moving like house chores, helps me stay fit compare if i sit and stay in my home office desk for long. Eating carbo and meat also adds to my weight compare with vegetables and fruits , anxieties makes me lose weight and i eat more when i feel good, when i was younger i easily lose weight than now that i'm older. What has not change about me is regardless of what stage i'm in, if i'm a slim teenager or a heavy mom, it's how i carry myself and the clothes i wear. I believe self acceptance and realistic weight loss goals are keys to good health.

Yes I do agree on it. Doing house chores is a form of exercise. You exercise not one specific muscles but all of your mucles are moving then. It is also a great cardio exercise.
