CureYourBody.com is excited to announce the launch of
its new forums. The next several months will be critical to setting up the
forums the way you want them to be. So
if you feel we should add more categories or sub forums, please let us know.
We'll add sub forums on our own as well, if we feel a
large number of posts are being made on a specific topic. For example, "Colon Cleansing" was added as a sub forum to the Gastroenterology forum since there seems
to be a lot of posts for that specific subject.
[1] Decrease or completely stop drinking alcohol. Excessive alcohol consumption has been associated with decreased spermatogenesis (sperm production) for this very reason. Its estrogenic actually and increases fat stores which increase an enzyme known as aromatase. Aromatase is important because it converts testosterone to estrogen.
[2] Eat organic foods. No, I am NOT a person who is trying to push the "green movement." In a study of Danish Greenhouse workers, an unexpectedly high sperm count was found among organic farmers, who grew their products without pesticides or chemical fertilizers. The sperm count was more than double those in the control-group. Certainly not definitive, but interesting nonetheless so I am making inferences here.
[3] Medications. I cannot ask you to stop taking medications, but if you have reason to believe your testosterone is low, then checking with your doctor for prescription may be one thing to look at if trying to increase levels if you happen to be on anything - especially blood pressure medications.
[4] Wear boxer short undergarments. I don't kid you! The temperature of the testes is a particular setting and its anatomical structure outside of the body is NOT by coincidence. Testosterone is produced by a group of cells in the testes known as the Leydig cells and these can really only properly function about 1.5 degrees (or more) cooler than the rest of the body. By wearing snug under garments, you could be your own worst enemy in this department.
[5] Stop recreational drug use. Mrijuana, cocaine, and hashish are all associated with decreased levels of testosterone, increased estrogen, decreased sperm production and even abnormally-shaped sperm.
[6] Stop smoking. Boy, am I a party-pooper or what? Smoking too is associated with a decrease in testosterone and increase in estrogen.
[7] Some supplements that are NOT hype and backed by science in this domain: Vitamin C, Zinc (many times found with Magnesium and Vitamin B6 as co-factors - i.e. - "ZMA"), Arginine, L-carnitine (L-carnitine L-tartrate, Acetyl-L-carnitine, and base L-carnitine have all been shown to increase the number of androgen receptors), Selenium, Vitamin B12, Asian Ginseng, CoEnzyme Q10, SAMe, and Vitamin E all have had at least some sort of study backing - even if just preliminary. Don't fall victim to the hype of other things. While there is some interesting data to things like Epimedium (Horny Goat Weed), Fadogia aggrestris, etc... the properly controlled studies are just not there yet to completely suggest without a shadow of a doubt that they are worth your money at present.
You really want to increase testosterone naturally? Eat fresh, organic MEAT. Especially steak from a farm animal that's fresh. And eat it raw or only medium rare.
The blood in this will shoot up testosterone levels .Especially if the animal hasn't been dead for more than a day or so.
Universalsoldier....that's disgusting! raw meat? lol
It might work to those that aren't faint of heart.
To the original poster...If all else fails, just go to your doc and get the (safe) monthly testosterone injections. When done for only a few shots it is virtually 100% safe and it is administered to men and women of all ages to bring back harmony to the testosterone system in the body...Ain't no shame
I agree with miawop _ exercise might just be the thing for you. Studies have shown, that training your large muscle groups can build up your testosterone levels, i.e. squats, bench press, back rows, etc. Some people also say that high protein, low carb diets caan lower the testosterone produced. Check it out...
This is NOT to say I recommend shying away from polyunsaturated fatty acids as they do help you in many other capacities - I am just making sure everyone understands a certain misconception as illustrated above.
Some Aerobic Excersing can increase testosterone levels but they are very low
You can increase natural testosterones by supplementing with Tribulus Terrestris
Increase in testosterones will grow more bodily hair but too much testosterones i mean steroid testosterones, will make u bald soon
Once your testosterone level goes down you can have a replacement coming from your doctor. They will supply you with the neede amount of testosterone level depending onyour age.
You cannot increase your testosterone naturally. Studies shows weight training has neen shown increase of testosterone levels and aerobics decreases it.
