Hmm,let's see, here' s what I'd go for..

Caramel corn rice cakes
Fat free whipped cream in can

Jell-o snacks-(all flavors)
94% fat free microwave popping corn
Reese's snacksters

Oh and last but not least....AIR POPP'D POPCORN!!

I also like rice cakes...Only 25 cals a cake...can't beat that!

Oh and strawberries and lite whipped cream is so tasty and sexy!

Want the best low cal snack ever?

Get low-fat,low calorie yogurt.
Pair that with strawberries,raspberries and blueberries.
Then top off with ultra light whipped cream!

It's incredibly delicious and nutritious!

The problem with many of the low-cal snacks in the case of things like rice cakes, etc... is that your blood sugar and subsequently your insulin tends to spike and not be that well-managed, which can be equally fattening while having to endure deprivation of substracting calories.


Equally good things include:

Beef Jerky (or turkey jerky) provided you're not a vegetarian
Cucumbers
Nuts (of all kinds - sometimes tricky to adhere to serving size however, but loaded with healthy fats; don't worry about calories per se here)
Guacamole
Nut Butters (again, like nuts not necessarily low-cal, but good if kept under control portion wise)
Protein Shakes and Powders

(please note that eating certain types of calories - i.e. - protein sources - actually increases the number of calories you burn overall; this is known as the Thermic Effect of Food or Diet-Induced Thermogenesis; its NOT always about "low-calorie" per se)

I always get carrot sticks for that sort of thing. They're thick and crunch and satisfying, and they're low cal to the extreme.

After losing a lot of weight I've found it hard to snack on good foods, I know you're supposed to have a bit of everything in moderation but I really can't go near ice-cream or chocolate or it'll crack me!
So I was wondering, have any of yous found any good low calorie foods to snack on at any time of the day?!

I found rice cakes which are 29 calories per slice, I'd eat about two of those. Then I also found crackerbreak and can have about 4 slices of those (about 19 calories per slice) so if I eat 4 of those I feel better instead of eating two of the rice cakes.

Recently I've started snacking on cereals with very little kcals per bowl, like special k and shreddies, that sorta thing.

All of the foods I'm snacking on at the minute taste pretty good, but I'm getting bored of them and I don't want to crack by going back to my old ways. Plus I have to eat quick a few slices to feel full and that means I'm counting up more calories. Has anyone found any good low calorie foods to snack on?! Or any ideas? I'm willing to try anything low cal with a high taste factor!! Thanks guys.

Microwaveable popcorn is great. A bag of original popcorn is only 110 calories, and a whole bag of cheesy popcorn is only 140 calories!

Sounds good, but the only problem is that all the bags of chips and processed foods (like munchie sort of things) all have MSG in it. Why don't you just cut up chunks of fruit like melon? I can't remember the calorie count, but a cup of chopped melon is way under 100 calories. All these snacks seem to be carbs.....

small banana - 80 calories
1/2 cup of raw carrots - 25 calories
hard boiled egg - 70 calories
small plum - 30 calories
1/2 english muffin and a teaspoon of peanut butter - 70 calories

Browse about, there are tonnes of calorie counting websites. Check google!

How about some carrot sticks dipped in salsa? Or celery sticks. Fruit does have sugar in it, but then again it has lots of other valuable nutriments like vitamins. Just calorie count.

I'll try to mention some that comes to my mind:

1. Plain pretzels - again, plain, not salted!
2. Unsalted peanuts/almonds
3. Low-fat yogurt
4. Dried fruit

Air-popped Popcorn, strawberries, sugar-free jelly, non-fat yogurt, carrot sticks... and the list goes on... there are a lot of snacking options, actually.

I think the various 100 calorie snack packs that are out now are awesome! They have them in just about any snack you could crave.

Eat raspberries. It is a good fruit snack and it is low in calories. Do not eat banana, it has plenty of sugar and bad for person who is dieting and not exercising every day.
