Are Fad diets the best way to lose weight? If not, which diets are the best!

Fad diets are not the best way to lose weight. Fad diets often promise quick weight loss or tell you to cut certain foods out of your diet. You may lose weight at first following one of these diets. However, it is seen that most people get tired of them and regain any lost weight.

Fad diets may be unhealthy because they may not provide all of the nutrients your body needs. Also losing weight at a very rapid rate may increase your risk for developing gall stones. Diets that provide less than 800 calories per day also could result in heart rhythm abnormalities, which can be fatal. Be careful while following any fad diet. Take care.

Be suspicious with diet introduce in the market today,nothing is more safe than just eating more fruits and vegetables and more exercise. jump rope

I don't think any fad diets are the way to go. The only way to be productive with weight loss is to watch what you eat and exercise. It's a mind set change that is really needed.

The reason they call them "fads" is that they don't last! Think "Hammer Pants"... Any time you lose weight too quickly, you're setting yourself up for failure. Aim for 1-2 lbs. at most, and you'll be surprised to find that it stays off.
